Hello good people, in need for your help.

We are traveling with our 2 years old baby, planning to travel and relax in thailand for 6 months. We are going to apply for the METV visa.

As we are traveling with a baby and hoping for a minimum visa hassles, does this scenario makes sense?

Enter the country, stay 2 months and extend for extra 30 days, than get out of the country via Cambodia and enter at the same day to get another 2 months, which will be extended again for 30 days? Will that work out? Is there any risk for not getting a second 30 days extension?

Thank you for helping out! ๐Ÿ’–

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user plans to travel to Thailand for 6 months with their 2-year-old baby using a METV visa. They intend to enter Thailand, stay for 2 months, extend for 30 days, then exit to Cambodia and re-enter Thailand to gain another 2-month stay, followed by another extension. Comments suggest that this plan can work, as one 30-day extension is permitted per entry.

Sounds like a fine plan and will work

you can get one 30 day extension on each entry from that visa so you'll be okay
