Hello! I am currently in Indonesia with my family. We want to go to Thailand soon and would like to have more than 30 days. As we understand we can go to Jakarta Thai embassy and get a visa for 60 days. Has somebody recent experiences with the office in Jakarta? How full it gets, how long the wait? We have a toddler with us and hope to find out more about the process. Thank you so much!

Also is it possible to extend the visa in Thailand for another 30 days? I heard this is no longer the case. Thanks

TLDR : Answer Summary
The individual is seeking information about obtaining a 60-day visa for Thailand at the Thai embassy in Jakarta, specifically regarding wait times and convenience as they are traveling with a toddler. They also inquire about the possibility of extending their visa for an additional 30 days, mentioning a rumor that this may no longer be available.

what is your nationality?

you may qualify for a free visa exempt entry (which is now 45 days and can be extended for 30 more at the immigration office for 1900baht after you're here)

Also my question, just to make sure: Is there a limit to geht the visa exempt entry? We visited Thailand already in the summer. We had the 30 days, immigration another 30 days extension and covid extension 60 more days. We didnt use the covid extension fully. We left for around two month. now we would like to come back and do it the way you discribed

you can get TWO visa exempt entries by land in a calendar year. That's the limit and officially no limit when entering by air

Luxembourg. Yes I saw that too, we get 45 days! We will get the extension at the office? Our embassy told us something else, I guess it was a misinformation.. We where wondering about that. Last time it was no problem.

, you will enter on visa-exempt for 45 days, and are eligible for 30 days tourism extension at the local immigration office.
