TLDR : Answer Summary
To apply for a security job in Thailand, the primary requirement is often Thai nationality. Foreigners generally find it very challenging to secure legal employment in this sector, as most security positions are reserved for Thai nationals. Foreigners who seek jobs in private security must have extensive experience in security, police, or military backgrounds, and such positions are typically filled through referrals. Additionally, if foreigners want to volunteer in capacities like tourist police, they usually do so without pay and must be aware of local laws and regulations.

Because Lord Jesus just loves it when you cheat the system and break laws and take jobs away from local people and then blame your bloody-mindedness on His answering your self-serving and ill-considered prayers. Drive another nail into his cross, FFS.

If you do not have extensive police, private security, and military security background, forget it. The only security jobs open to foreigners are with highly professional private security firms that are extensively trained, and with plenty of experience in providing protection for executives, and VIPs. They hire by referrals only. You can not get a job as a security person at a hotel, or condo complex.

@Kool ******
What about tourist police?
Kool *******
@Marc *******
umm, the actual tourist police are Thai, and simply a division of the Thai police that speak English. I think what you might be referring to are the foreign volunteers you see in places like Walking Street in Pattaya helping the police in minor situations, and to help the tourists. They are strictly volunteers receiving no pay at all.
John ***********
@Kool ******
They are foreign scum as far as I am concerned helping the most corrupt police in the country.
