What options do I have to extend my stay in Thailand while job hunting on a visa exempt entry?

After being "stuck" in Japan since 2020, I'm planning to return to Thailand in April 2022 to search for work.

I have an American passport so I will arrive on a visa exempt 30 day entry, which can be extended once for a total of 60 days (if I understand correctly).

I'm not sure if this is enough time to secure a suitable job.

My question is: what other options do I have to extend my stay until I can secure a job?

-Thanks in advance

TLDR : Answer Summary
The individual plans to return to Thailand from Japan on a visa-exempt entry valid for 30 days, which can be extended by 30 days. They are seeking options for further extending their stay to secure employment. Responses suggest applying for a tourist visa prior to entry, which allows longer stays, and changing it to a different visa type later if needed. Others recommend reaching out to a visa support group for additional assistance.

I find a job in Thailand with 14 days after I decided to stay here. So you should be cool.

God I'd love to go back to Japan. I love Thailand too but Japan holds a special place in my heart.

I believe the admin of this group is an agent and might help you.

If not, then lookup the ThailandPass, Visas & Sandbox group, they helped many with their visa questions

I got me a 60 day tourist visa from the Thai embassy and extended for another 30 days.

From what I read on many posts, the tourist visa can be changed to another type to extend your stay beyond 90 days.
