TLDR : Answer Summary
To stay in Thailand for at least 6 months while seeking employment or starting a business, you can initially apply for a six-month multiple-entry tourist visa. This allows for up to nine months in Thailand. It's recommended to apply for the visa at your local Thai embassy before your arrival. Keep in mind that obtaining a work permit for employment may require specialized skills and a minimum salary of 30,000 Baht.

You need to be a specialist of some kind to get a job in Thailand.

Your salary should be more than 30.000 Baht.

Even starting a new business don’t mean you can work there.

My advice is to apply online from your own country. Secure the Visa before arrival. As far as working in Thailand it might be somewhat difficult to get a work permit. Maybe consider hiring an agency that can guide you. Good luck.

You should apply for a six months multiple entries tourist visa at your embassy at home in the first place. This gives you up to nine months in Thailand and you can investigate your options further.
