TLDR : Answer Summary
A Filipina user inquires about the possibility of finding a job in Thailand while on a tourist visa. Several responses explain that while job searching is allowed, actual employment requires obtaining a non-immigrant visa and work permit. Participants also discuss specific job opportunities, particularly in teaching, and caution against certain job offer tactics.

Hi Ann, I would avoid job offers from people with no timeline and no profile picture.... ๐
Try to avoid the agencies. Ask for minimum 30k and make sure it's for 12 month contract and last but not least: Don't listen to the NES wankers who can't find a job as they've never seen a school from inside.
Filipina are usually hired for +/- 20k and unpaid during school holidays. If you'd be a teacher here, you'd know it. Probably you're just another wanker who loves to mess-up this group.
wanker, hmm well sorry to disappoint you there chap, I am American, not a teacher, nor do I need a job. I asked just curious. Since you might be a teacher, since you know. Great for you and. Sorry dude, but when I did work I made on average ...slow slow months 5k dollars per month. And yes i don't need a job, not now and been retired since age 50...so 5 yrs. So thanks for the information and keep your job and wanker pointing in the right direction, up yours in case you need guidance.

There are always opportunities out there. Check within your community. And the Filipino expat communities. The world needs people willing to work for sure! Good luck to you ๐๐๐
unfortunately, jobs within Thailand requiring proficiency in English are beyond the ability of most Thais because the education system in Thailand is so poor. Therefore, expats are hired instead.

I came to Thailand from Malaysia on a Tourisf visa and was offered 3 jobs in a week working in Pharmacy. Now have a work permit (8 years already) and love it...so yes it can be done.
that is what the internet is for. People can be huge a$$holes without repercussions. In real life, people would slap them! Or they would simply not be a holes. 555
If you're on a tourist visa yes you can search for a job and possibly change visas in country. However, if you're talking about NOW, you're not on a tourist visa, so you couldn't do it
Yes, you may search for a job while on a tourist visa. You cannot start working though until you have a non immigrant visa that supports a work permit, and a work permit (which you get after you have the appropriate visa).
