What Should I Do If My Business Visa Documents Aren't Ready Before My Current Visa Expires?

I am currently waiting for my business visa documents to be made. I know that ideally i would need to get them in my hand before leaving the country to get the visa, however in the event that my current visa expires before the documents are ready and I have to leave, what are other ways I can get those documents? Is email acceptable? I assume they dont accept anything other than the original documents, not printed because of the stamps....what is the solution to such a scenario?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is concerned about their business visa documents not being ready before their current visa expires. They seek advice on how to obtain the original essential documents, like the WP3 form, should they need to leave the country. Community responses suggest alternatives like postal services or courier for document procurement, and various options for visa exemption or border runs if their current visa expires.

if you only have one 30 day visa exempt entry so far this year you could bounce out and back in to get another 30 day visa exempt entry (and you could extend that by 30 days at the immigration office if you needed to for 1900baht). You are allowed TWO 30 day visa exempt entries in a calendar year (Jan 1 - Dec 31)

But she's not allowed two visa exempt entries because she's on a Russian passport. I think it's a bilateral agreement, OR a visa on arrival

If u are with a tourist visa u can have it 3 times in ur passport, after need a lawyer to make a working one

Have what 3 times in her passport?

She can get "Unlimited" tourist visas (unlimited defined by the immigration officer).

She also qualifies for a bilateral agreement, and not a visa exempt.

thanks for the info, good to know

currently only one tourist visa, one exempt as well

I'm hoping i can just do a border hop this time as I just need a bit of extra time for getting my official business visa documents

I got a non b in Bali this year. All documents were scanned and emailed to me. No issues. I've also had the wp3 emailed to me in KL before. No issues.

sounds encouraging, thank you. ๐Ÿ™

If you're working here without a valid Non-B, I suggest re-thinking about staying at your current job.

If you're not working, and you or the business needs more time to collect the documents, you can either get a visa exempt by doing a border bounce, a visa on arrival (if you're from such a country), or a tourist visa.

IF you're a teacher working for an agency or a public school, I wouldn't expect you to get those documents.

I'm not currently working, I am waiting to get the visa before I start work, hence why I am waiting for the documents.

Ok visa exempt sounds like an option at least, just wondering what other ways.

Thank you

The Thai Consulate wants to see the original WP3 form, the form your employer gets when the application for your work permit is approved. How to get it there where you are: Post office, Courier service, depending on place maybe a visa agent that visit the place regular.

I plan to be in Laos....so I guess they'll have to mail them to me there. Sigh....what a headache.
