Hello all! š
My partner and I are moving from the UK to Bangkok in August (weāve secured jobs at two international schools as teachers)- Currently, Iām trying to secure our Non-Immigrant Type B visas; itās proving to be lots of fun. Iād really appreciate the advice of a kind soul/s with regards to a few questions I have. Iāll repay said soul with a beer (or two!) once Iām over there :-P
1) Iām in a position where I need to post our visas to the Thai embassy in London- they only accept cash or postal order. Handy. Iām going to go with the postal order as itās more secure- however, the maximum value of one of these is Ā£250. The visas are Ā£300 a pop. Does anyone know if the embassy will accept multiple postal orders when I send our applications?
2) On the website ([members only]), there are two sections with requirements for Non-Immigrant type B visas. A āgeneralā one and another section for teachers. The requirements are slightly different (for example, the āstandardā one asks for letters of recommendation from prior employers, identifying job description and length of service time). Iād rather not have to āchaseā said letters up if I donāt need to. Any idea if these are indeed two separate sections or if I need to send āeverythingā from āeveryā section?
Thanks in advance for any support/guidance that can be offered with this! š
