ORIGINAL POSTER
Hello all! 😊

My partner and I are moving from the UK to Bangkok in August (we’ve secured jobs at two international schools as teachers)- Currently, I’m trying to secure our Non-Immigrant Type B visas; it’s proving to be lots of fun. I’d really appreciate the advice of a kind soul/s with regards to a few questions I have. I’ll repay said soul with a beer (or two!) once I’m over there :-P

1) I’m in a position where I need to post our visas to the Thai embassy in London- they only accept cash or postal order. Handy. I’m going to go with the postal order as it’s more secure- however, the maximum value of one of these is £250. The visas are £300 a pop. Does anyone know if the embassy will accept multiple postal orders when I send our applications?

2) On the website ([members only]), there are two sections with requirements for Non-Immigrant type B visas. A ‘general’ one and another section for teachers. The requirements are slightly different (for example, the ‘standard’ one asks for letters of recommendation from prior employers, identifying job description and length of service time). I’d rather not have to ‘chase’ said letters up if I don’t need to. Any idea if these are indeed two separate sections or if I need to send ‘everything’ from ‘every’ section?

Thanks in advance for any support/guidance that can be offered with this! 😊
