Hi All,

I have to do a 90 day check in the beginning of September. My non imm b work permit/visa is connected to the Bangkok province so I would normally need to do it in Bangkok. However, I am currently based in Koh Phangan working remotely and I am doing everything I can to avoid traveling with the covid situation, especially to Bangkok. Does anyone know if/how I can check in online? I’ve heard it’s possible…

Thank you so much for your help,

Harmony

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user inquires about completing their 90-day check-in for a NON-B visa while staying in Koh Phangan, instead of traveling to Bangkok due to COVID-19 concerns. A commenter provides two options: 1) completing the check-in online via the immigration web portal or mobile apps, detailing steps to troubleshoot potential issues, and 2) sending the report by mail to the Changwattana immigration office, emphasizing the importance of sending it at least 15 days before the due date.

You have two options:

A. Do it online. You can do it between 15 days before it's due up to the due date.

Immigration web-portal [best option];

If the 90 day online report system does not work, AND you’re between the due date and 15 days prior to the due date, AND you already filed one 90 day report in person, there are some troubleshooting techniques you can use to try and get the system to work for you.

1. Make sure you’re filling in the information, and only the information, requested.

2. Make sure you are keying in the date and month correctly

3. Turn off any pop-up blockers

4. Turn off any auto-translate

5. Turn off any VPNs (Virtual Private Networks) that you may be using - including any data saving applications

6. If you’re using one of the applications, use the web-based system

7. If you’re using the web based system, try using a different browser and clear the cache.

8. Make sure your web browser isn’t automatically filling in the forms.

9. Make sure you aren’t confusing “O”(Oh) with “0” (zero)

10. If you’re keying your date manually, try using the drop-down date selection box

If the system still doesn’t work, then you may need to file it in person.

B. Send it by mail. You will send it to Changwattana immigration office NO LATER THEN 15 days before it's due. You will need a 10 THB self address stamped envelop, sent to your address in Bangkok.

hi Benjamin, quick clarification question. If I end up having to send it by mail, when you say no later then 15 days, do you mean that I can’t mail it 16 days before it’s due OR I can’t mail it 14 days before it’s due? I hope that makes sense

, maybe only me, but I would contact to Bangkok immigration office to make sure they accept 90days reports for a foreigner on an extension based on employment by postal mail.

And also make sure which address you should use as a return address. (I would definitely NOT use the address in a remote province.)

Bangkok does accept 90days reports by post, but I haven't heard anyone did for their extension based on employment..

It must be postmarked before 15 days, if you send it with less time than that it will get rejected.
