Can my friend report his 90-day visa in Korat instead of Bangkok?

Hello everyone. I need some advice. My friend is on retirement visa, he should report for 90 days this march 2. Unfortunately online report is not working, immigration system is down until march 15. Right now he is in Korat and he's planning to stay there until april, but his last 90 days report was done in bangkok. Question, must he go back to bangkok to report or can he do it in korat immigration?

TLDR : Answer Summary
A user seeks advice on whether their friend, who has a retirement visa, must return to Bangkok for a 90-day report or if they can report it at the immigration office in Korat, since online reporting is currently unavailable due to system issues. The consensus from the comments is that while typically, the 90-day report should be filed at the office linked to the individual's primary address, there are options available such as reporting at the local office in Korat if the hotel or accommodation has notified local immigration. Alternatives include reporting by post or understanding the implications of filing late.

If he doesn't wanna get back here to bangkok before the 9th (the last day he could report in person and not get a fine), he needs to understand that when he does come back he'll get a 2000baht fine for failure to file on time.

It's not the end of the world, and the fine is 2000baht whether you're 8 days late or 8 months late

He needs to do his 90 day report at the office where he gets his extensions and where he's filed previous 90 day reports

even if the hotel notified the immigration about his stay?

@Al***
you do 90 day reports at the office where you got your extension and where you primary address is. You can't file a 90 day report at any immigration office just because you happen to be in that province when it's due. :/

@Ger****
, you got bad information all around and it was probably a "lost in translation" thing. You can file a report online from 15 days (actually 2 WEEKS) before down until the due date

Here's a screen shot from the 90 day report online website showing when you can file a report

@Tod ********
or up to a week after the due date

Gerhard Hasenkopf. You probably misunderstood. You can do a 90-day report from 15 days before due date to 7 days after. But unless you have a TM30 filed at the office you are doing it at, they could say no.

Bobby Howard yes I know I’ve always did it online 2-12 days before but last time it wouldn’t work tried 10 times the next morning page was down now i had like 2-3 days left to the date so i went down to immigration to do it and ask her she said 15 days before thats why it didnt work DUH! i tried explaining to her like 2 times she said no its 15 days before if online i said to myself shit and did the papers and left. Its either new ??? or whatever caused it not to work we'll see, next time maybe but wife says no do it 16 days before damn women lol

@Gerhard **********
and you cannot file a 90 day report at any office, you can only do it at the office where you get your extensions and have your primary address and do your previous 90 day reports

Tod Daniels ok my local office but the women said 15 days before thats why it didnt work 2-4 days before due date I know she was wrong but the site told me had to go there bull crap!

Alternatively as
@Phill *****
has suggested do it by mail. Ensure it is sent by recorded post to arrive at immigration within the 14 days before due date. However, he will need a copy of his last TM30.

Is he staying at hotel or private accommodation? Either way his presence should have been reported by hotel/owner to Korat immigration, so he can do it there, as officially that's where he is.
Phill ******
you can do it by post .

@Phill *****
you can only do a 90 day report by mail IF you have your packet post marked 14 days before the due date. his 90 day report WAS due yesterday. SO he can't apply by mail.

If you change your address you should notify immigration and the hotel or owner needs to advise immigration of this. You should report your 90 day where ever you are currently living. Online reporting is not the best
