What are the rules for 90-day reporting for retirees in Thailand, especially when temporarily staying in Koh Lanta?

Looking for clarification for 90 day reporting please. I got my extension for retirement on 13 Jan 24. At the same time I seem to have also done the first 90 day reporting. I was helped at Chiang Mai Immigration by a volunteer and didnt fully understand all the forms. I have a docket stapled into my passport saying I have to Notify again on 6 April 24. I take it that I am ok until that date?

Normally I live in Chiang Mai and I have a one year lease on a hotel room commenced Oct 23.

But I will be in Koh Lanta from 19 March to late April.

My question is can I do an online report and if so can I use my CM address or do I have to use hotel address in koh Lanta? What supporting documents do I need to submit?

Right now I cannot access the TM47 online on my phone. If that were to be a problem when I go to submit from Koh Lanta, what would I do?

Sorry it is so wordy - I just want to give all the backgtound in order to get full clarification.

Grateful for all advice offered

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user seeks clarification about the 90-day reporting process after receiving a retirement extension. They received a document indicating their next reporting date is April 6, 2024, and plan to be in Koh Lanta during that time. They inquire if they can use their Chiang Mai address for online reporting, what documents are needed, and whether they can hire an agent to assist with the process while they're away.

your first is 90 days after you receive your long term extension.

If you wanted an agent to do your 90 day report they would need your passport.

Your first 90 day report is the date that's on the paper stapled in your passport, so that's April 6th.

Most offices require you to do the first 90 day report in person, so the online system probably won't work for you, but you can try. If the hotel you're staying at in Koh Lanta filed a TM30 for you, then use the hotel address for your 90 day report. If they did not file a TM30 for you, then you would use your address in Chiang Mai for the 90 day report.

There is no immigration office in Koh Lanta. If you want to do a 90 day report in person you would need to go to the Krabi immigration office.

Worst case scenario that you are not able to file a 90 day report, then don't worry about it. It's just a 2000 baht fine next time you go to immigration, regardless of if you are 8 days late or 8 months late.
