Can I perform my 90-day report in Koh Samui if I've just renewed my visa in Chiang Mai?

Hi,

I’ve I picked up my yearly extension (married to a Thai) at Chiang mai immigration office on the 5th of April. That same day was the due date to do my 90days report but didn’t have time to do it at the immigration as I had to catch a fly to Samui that same morning. I use to do my 90 days report online until now but seems like it’s not working this time after I’ve tried several times.

I am flying back then to Bangkok before heading back to my home country for a while.

Can I do my 90days report it in person at the immigration office in Samui or is it supposed to be done only from the office of residency ?

If it’s not possible, I will have to pay a fine of course. But will that be a problem for me to ask for my re-entry permit at the Suvarnabhumi airport on the day of my departure ?

Thank you in advance for your feedback and advice 🙏🏻

TLDR : Answer Summary
The individual has renewed their yearly visa extension in Chiang Mai but missed the 90-day report due date due to travel. They inquire if they can report in person at the immigration office in Koh Samui, given that they are unable to complete the online process. Responses indicate that the 90-day report can be done at any immigration office, provided a TM30 form is filed by their accommodation. Additionally, it is noted that a new visa extension restarts the 90-day reporting requirement, which may negate the need for the report immediately after renewal.

If you just renewed your visa for the year you don't need to do a 90 day report, it starts again so from the day you got your new visa

Not correct, the 90 day report and a new Extension of Stay are not linked. The 90 day count continues regardless of getting a new Extension.

Thanks for the info but after I’ve checked seems like it can vary from offices to others

Did my Non OA renewal is Samui last week. They stapled a reminder into my passport showing a 90 day reporting date of 30 June.

You can do it wherever you are in the country, but you'll have to wait until wherever you are staying files a TM30 for you first. So if you're staying at a hotel on Samui, verify that they've done a TM30 for you and get a copy, then go to the immigration office and file your TM47.

But double check your passport first to make sure they didn't staple in a new TM47 already when you got your extension as they sometimes do that.
