Can I submit my 90-day report at the Nakhon Si Thammorat office instead of Bangkok?

I submit my 90 day reports in person at MTT (I’m unable to submit them online since moving onto COVID extensions). I’m currently on holiday in Nakhon Si Thammorat and will need to stay here longer than expected due to travel restrictions. My 90 day report is due soon so I’m weighing up my options. I’m considering posting my passport to a friend and asking them to submit a 90 day report on my behalf in Bangkok and then post my passport back to me in Nakhon Si Thammorat. However, I’m wondering if it would be possible to submit a 90 day report in Nakhon instead of Bangkok. This would seem like a more straightforward option, if it’s possible. Is using the Nakhon Si Thammorat office possible or are there any other options? Thanks.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is considering submitting their 90-day report while on holiday in Nakhon Si Thammorat, as they are unable to return to Bangkok. They explore options, including posting their documents to a friend for submission in Bangkok or submitting directly in Nakhon Si Thammorat. Comments suggest that it may be problematic to submit in a different office than where their visa is registered, leading to recommendations for submitting by mail instead, detailing necessary documents and procedures.

Could you please clarify that rule about submitting 90 day report in person after moving onto covid extension ?

I also moved onto covid extension, but did my report while still being on a work visa. Now I don’t know if I have to follow my old counting or start a new one since I got an extension . And would it be necessary to go there in person only for the first time ? (My last report was done online).

I had to post some documents and couldn't find an open post office a week ago.

I went to
****
and they said they couldn't post them because I didn't have a Thai ID card.

If you have a friend with a Thai ID ask them to help you post it from
****

I don't know what part of Thailand you're in, but post offices are open as normal.

, My personal assistant is Thai. She said she read on one of the Thai news ...But have just asked and she has said Noooo! They close now to 31st....So to clarify the distinction. Post Offices closed until month end...I now doubt as would have been BIG news by now. Maybe her source is a friend of an associate of the daughter of the service station attendant's brother who is always right, and overheard by mistake a chat between post office workers.....😂

IF you were doing 90 day reports before (on what ever extension you had) you continue to do 90 day reporting. AND if you were using the online system you can TRY to see if it will work, if it doesn't you go in person.

All I know is that people have gotten grief for having filed a 90 day report at a different office (even if that office lets you do it) when they went back to their main office to either do another 90 day report OR file for a new extension.

Personally I'd file it by mail using my bangkok address on the TM47 form and on the return envelope but that's just me

File it by post, Send it EMS tracked mail and use your bangkok return address for the stamped self addressed envelope they send the receipt back to. It'll go fine.

To do a 90 day report by mail in Bangkok you need to postmark the envelope 14 days before the due date, and include a stamped self addressed envelope to get the receipt mailed back

Include the following in the packet:

Filled out TM47

previous 90 day report receipt

copies of

data page of your passport

visa/extension

most recent entry stamp

TM 6 departure card

TM30 receipt

Mail it here;

Immigration Office Division 1

Chalermprakiat Government Complex

120 Moo 3 Chaengwattana Road Soi 7

Thungsonghong, Laksi Bangkok

Thanks for your advice. A postal submission sounds like the best option. To clarify: my postal submission needs to arrive at immigration 14 days before my 90 day due date?

needs to be post marked <-MAILED at least 14 days before your due date

I wouldn't even try to apply at an office that you don't get your extension at because it can cause problems when you come back to your original office to get your extension (no matter what you tell them the reason for you doing it was)
