Will be applying for the 1 year extension of stay (first time) in jomtien shortly based on having a thai wife, how close to the finishing date of my non o 90 day visa can I leave it to apply for the 1 year extension  I'm wondering ? Cheers

You can apply for a 1-year extension until on the very last day of your current stamp. Better not wait too late in case your documents are not enough
