TLDR : Answer Summary
You should apply for an extension of your Non-O visa at least one month before it expires, which would be around February 25th since your visa expires on March 25th. Make sure to gather all required documents beforehand and consider visiting the immigration office immediately with your wife to ensure you have everything needed for the application.

A month before your current stamp expires.

I would go to immigration, with your wife, immediately, as there is a list of documents you must have when you apply for your extension, then as soon as you get them all apply for your extension. The first time is time consuming getting all the documents, especially if you rent where you live.

that's my question we rent

if you rent, you need the lease agreement, with the name of the property on it, as most do not have the name. You also need a copy of the owner's Thai ID card, and a copy of the owner's name in the house book he/she is registered in. These are the most time consuming documents to get, especially the owner's documents.

you also need a copy of all the pages in your passport (they all will not be needed, but you never know exactly which ones they will want). You need one set of your Thai marriage license documents, there should be two. A copy of your wife's ID card, and a copy of the house book she is registered in. Pictures of both of you in front of where you live, hopefully showing the name, a picture in front of your entry door, showing the room number, or house number, and at least two pictures of both of you inside the apartment. You also need a hand drawn map of how to get there, but some use a Google map, although not all immigration agents accept it. Then you need your two bank letters, one stating it is your account in your name only, and the other showing your deposits, and balances going back three months. Two months is required, but three is better. Then you need copies of your bank book pages, and updated on the day you apply. Make sure you keep copies of everything because the next year you will only need updated bank letters, and new pictures. Oh, and you need a new passport photo for the application. They do scan and keep your photos, so you can not use the same ones next year.

Bangkok i think? Ihave the money in the bank but it would be two months in the account from 20th March. Didnt know about the legth of applying ect

most are 30 days before visa expire but some offices are 45 days.

When you apply you will get the under consideration stamp until approved.

If your money is only ready 20th March i would go before make sure all paperwork as required by that office is correct. They will give you a list.

You can explain to them money will only be ready 20th they may say never mind they may ask you to wait until the 20th to submit

Best go to nearest immigration to you and check all paperwork required. They are not all the same.

Just did mine first time couple of months ago

Mine was

Marriage Certificate.

Wifes ID

Your passport copy all pages

House papers (blue book)

Photo of you and family by house number

Photos of you and family in house.

Copy bank book.

Statement from bank.

This was Samat Sakorn and they are not all the same. Advise you to make extra copies of some so can be used next time.
