TLDR : Answer Summary
You can typically extend your visa exemption at most immigration offices in Thailand up to 30 days before your current visa expires. However, certain locations like Bangkok and Chiang Mai may allow extensions up to 45 days in advance, while some offices in Jomtien may require you to wait until you have less than a week left on your visa.

Most Imm offices are 30 days, some may ask you to come back when you have a week left on your stamp.

At most offices you can go for an extension when you have 30 days left on your existing stamp.

Bangkok and Chiang Mai allow 45 days.

Jomtien usually when you have less than a week.
