Hello I'm a Hong Kong resident currently in Bangkok. My visa exemption is until 30 Dec and I would like to extend my stay. What can I do on this? I saw there is a new application which we can apply online? How many days can I extend?

Thank you very much!
Answer summary
As a Hong Kong resident in Bangkok whose visa exemption is until December 30, you cannot extend your stay beyond that period as Hong Kong passport holders receive a visa waiver, which does not allow for a 30-day extension. You can only obtain a 7-day extension if needed to leave Thailand.

you cannot get any extension (just a 7 day get out of thailand one) Hong Kong passport holders don't get a visa exemption they get what's called a visa waiver and it can't get a 30 day extension.

if you can find a border you can get out and back in at you can certainly do it. Some borders won't let waiver people bounce at. So post on a group related to where you stay in thailand and ask for recommendations for a service to bounce you out and back
