What should I do if my rental contract is not in my name for visa extension in Thailand?

I'm new to this group and I'm not sure if there's been a similar question before.

I share my apartment with a friend and the rental contract is in his name as he was already living there before me. I just pay my share of the bills.

With the new regulations that require that copies of rental contract and so on be shown to immigration in order to get a visa extension, what do I do? Thanks in advance ๐Ÿ˜Š
