What can I do if my landlord won't provide the necessary documents for my Non-O visa extension in Thailand?

Hi,

I’m trying to get another extension of my non O visa (based on marriage) for another year and I need my landlord to give me some documents, namely:

1) copy of landlords passport

2) copy of landlords house registration (where I am renting)

Unfortunately, the landlord is being uncooperative and not providing us with these documents. Do you know what I can do? Do you think a signed rental agreement (which includes the landlords ID) would suffice? Thank you.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is seeking help regarding obtaining necessary documents from their landlord to extend their non O visa based on marriage. The landlord is uncooperative, and the user wonders if a signed rental agreement would be sufficient instead of the required documents. Comments suggest alternatives like using a rental agreement and landlord ID, and some users share their experiences where they successfully obtained extensions with minimal documentation.

Last time when we apply for non-O visa in Phuket, we only give the landlord ID and rental agreement and TM30 although the document list include the blue book but our landlord also refused to give us. The immigration officer didn't insist on having the blue book so it turns out to be okay. Try your luck, maybe it isn't as strict in the office you apply. If anything, tell the officer to write in Thai and ask for you to the landlord the blue book -- that was our strategy but it turns out okay.
