Hey everyone. I'm doing my retirement visa renewal this Tuesday at the Jontiem office. I have all the documents but here is the question. My leasing agent gave me a copy of the owners passport for the condo. Now should there be lines on it and his signature? This copy is just the passport photo page no lines or signature. Thanks

TLDR : Answer Summary
When renewing your retirement visa in Thailand, particularly at the Jontiem office, you generally do not need the owner's passport. Instead, ensure you have the TM30 form and your rental agreement. It's also advisable to have a copy of the owner's ID. The passport copy of the owner should be signed, and your signature is required on your submitted documents. If you're uncertain, visiting the immigration office directly for clarification can be beneficial.

@Sam***
. Go to Jon then IO and ask. I know you'll need to show a tm30. Copy of your lease agreement too

The passport copy needs to be signed at the bottom in blue ink. Your copies as well,but by you.

The rental agreement should have a copy of the owners ID, the condo blue house book, as well as yours and the owners signature.

If you rent from a foreigner,his/her passport number should be in the contract. No blue house book info is needed in the contract. If the owner/landlord is a Thai,then you need info from the ID.Still,no blue house book needs to be mentioned in the contract. But you need a signed copy of the Thai ID and the blue house book.

that must be correct then🤔

where did you get this information? When I have rented from reputable letting agents a copy of the blue house book is always supplied. How do you know the property belongs to them otherwise?

@Stuart **********
I know this because I live here and have been here for many years.My contract shows info from my landlords Irish passport and the same from my passport. Plus of course addresses and phone numbers. Nothing from the blue house book. This is of course accepted by Jomtien immigration.My landlord is not even the owner.

You don't need his passport just the tm30 he should have given you and rental agreement
