Hi, I am going to Cheangwattana tomorrow to get a 60day extension based on visiting family (wife) on current 90 day entry (non O multi entry visa valid until November 26). I found the following requirements and just want to ask if I am missing anything...

* Passport (original).

* Photocopy of passport.

* Photocopy of visa and arrival card

* House certificate / copy of lease agreement at the condo you stay in.

* A signed copy of the home owner's ID card – if not your wife.

* Wife’s house book

* Wife's ID card

* Marriage Certificate

I am particularly interested in how important the signed copy of the landlords ID card is. I have asked for it but they live abroad so IF this is not requested I’d like to know.

I just got turned away at CW applying for a 60 day family extension because I needed a copy of my lease agreement.

My wife went to CW today to speak with the IO in section L.

FWIW, not only is a copy of a lease contract and a signed copy of owner's ID required but ALSO a signed copy the owner's tambien baan. Oh, and also an official copy of KR2.

Yes, I did a search last week and turned up old information that did not include lease agreement in the list.

I find it a little strange that a lease agreement is required for a family visit extension. TiT.

Sorry it was not listed when you looked.

The salt in the wound is the fact that I went to CW last week and asked what documents were needed. No mention was made of lease agreement nor house owner's ID. They did list all the other documents.

Better get the Kor Ror 2 from amphur office. This proves that you're still married. Some immigration officers want it, some don't.

would that be any amphur or only the one where the marriage was first done?

@Danny *********
go with your thai wife and the marriage certificate, your passport etc to ANY amphur, they share the data base, as long as you were married in the last 10 years or so any amphur can look up the marriage

I believe it can be any as the database is connected countrywide.

Has a TM 30 been filed before on this as your residence ?

@James *******
I don’t think so

@Danny *********
I had to submit a TM30 signed by the property owner together with a copy of the property owner's ID card and the tabian baan page showing the owner's name.

@Danny *********
needs to be filed. You may be asked to do so before they grant the 60 day extension. Or get lucky and it slips by ..
Benjamin ******
The "signed copy" of the owner's ID card is usually a front-and-back copy of the Thai ID, printed on one side of the paper, with a line cross through it and the ID card holder's signature in blue link.

I don't know if it is important or not; I would ask and explain your situation to immigraiton.

Be sure to take your Thai wife with you.
