I am renewing my retirement visa next month and recently saw a post on this site stating I need a copy of my address by Google maps and a copy of my house deeds which are in my wife's name. Is this accurate information. I am only aware I need the following:
My passport.
My bank book with 800,000 baht & confirmation letter from the bank
Photos
5,700 baht.
Relevant photocopies

TLDR : Answer Summary
To renew your retirement visa in Thailand, you typically need a passport, bank book showing 800,000 baht, a confirmation letter from the bank, photos, and relevant photocopies. However, specific requirements may vary by immigration office. Some users noted the need for additional documents like an address copy or house deeds, while others mentioned checking with your local office for precise requirements as procedures can differ significantly between locations.

Okay people we're not gonna get in to the "At my office I have to blah-blah-blah". There are OVER EIGHTY immigration offices in the country and each one marches to the beat of their own drummer it seems.. Even the places with two or more offices in a province don't follow the same things ๐
CHECK with your specific immigration office (y)
Believe me, we don't say that because we're lazy and don't want to answer you.
We don't want to give you WRONG information and have your visa/extension go off the rails ๐

Todd, does the bank confirmation letter have to be issued the same day you renew the visa or can I get the letter the day before so I can go to the Immigration Office first thing the next morning. That is what I did last year
no buriram office would not except my letter from the bank ,it was dated 1 day before I went to there office .I had to drive 120kl to the bank and back ,and then no problems that won't happen again same day for me now
, You need to check with your local office to see how many days old letter they would accept. It totally depends on each office. Some accept up to 7 days old, some set 3 days, and some accept only one day - within the date of issue.
for the last seven years, I have visited the bank on a Tuesday or Wednesday and then immigration the next day without any problems (yearly visa extension, retired)
FYI, going first thing in the morning is your choice, but it's probably the busiest time. And you can make an appointment in advance ONLINE.
You're getting your terminology mixed up. It's impossible to renew a visa in Thailand. You're actually getting an extension. The re-entry permit is a totally separate item. Unless you intend leaving and re-entering Thailand four times in the next year, it's just as easy to get the single re-entry permit at the airport for 1000 baht when you're leaving
, so you mean 1900 thb for yearly extension AND 3800 thb for multiple re-entry permit. (There is no multiple entry visa issued inside Thailand)

Sadly you don't say what of the OVER 80 immigration offices you're using so no one can tell you if that's accurate or not. ๐ In Bangkok they have you hand draw a map not use google maps copy ๐
Make sure you update bank book the day you apply
This is a hand out listing the general requirements, your office may require more or less
Tod, man you really have your finger on the pulse. Your documents are really helpful and your knowledge and recommendations are spot on. We all owe you a big thank you.
