Has anyone applied for a DTV + dependent DTV in Phnom Penh? I am trying to figure out if a balance of 500K or 1 million is needed for two people.

Additionally, can both applications be processed at the same time or does the primary applicant need to obtain their DTV first? Thanks for your help!

TLDR : Answer Summary
The applicant is inquiring about the requirements for applying for a Digital Nomad Visa (DTV) and a dependent DTV in Phnom Penh, specifically the required balance in their account (whether it's 500K or 1 million for two people) and if both applications can be submitted simultaneously. Community comments suggest trying to apply for both at the same time, noting that it may depend on having the primary applicant's DTV approved first.

you're out nothing TRYING to apply for them both when you're at the window together,

worst case they'll say you have to get yours first then apply

I am doing the same thing, but with the e visa online in my country, so there is no desk to ask. In order to apply for it for my wife, as a spouse , do I have to get it first? or can I apply for them together as far as you know?

totally different scenario and on the eVisa websites when you apply you have to upload the copy of the primary DTV holders visa, SO that means you have to apply first, get approved THEN apply for trailing spouse DTV after that

thank you very much!

I didn't understand if the wife must have the same requirements as me (bank balance, etc.) or if the husband's DTV is sufficient to obtain it.

and that is up to the consulate you're applying at

Some wanted the trailing spouse to also meet the financial requirements, SOME only required the primary DTV holder to meet it

I have the same question. No guidance on the eVisa site.

right walk in consulates usually let all the people apply at the same time (primary holder, spouse, children)

Thanks. On their website, it only says, "Spouse and dependents: Proof of relationship to the DTV visa holder, e.g. a copy of marriage certificate / birth certificate / certificate of adoption."

- My understanding, is that every applicant (your wife is a separate applicant than you), must supply the requirements listed under 1 through 5. Bullet 5 is then broken down by what category (soft power, digital nomad, spouse, etc.) and states what is needed specifically for that category. Bullets 1 to 4 are required of all though.

Yep, that's right. Sorry, that part was understood on my part, though not stated explicitly. I'm just trying to find out about the balance requirements (500K vs 1 million) and whether or not we can apply at the same time or if we have to apply separately, specific to Phnom Penh.

- Yes, each of you needs 500K in your name, as stated by the document. Your wife needs evidence of 500K to fulfill the 4th component. Applying at same time, not sure. People have said conflicting things with this.

There are embassies, where when applying separately, the same 500K is used as proof of funds for both parties, in the primary applicant's bank account. That seems to be the norm, actually. Ho Chi Minh, for example, said they needed to see 1 million (and allowed you to apply at the same time), but Vientiane, Taipei, and Jakarta only need 500K (but require that you apply at separate times). So there is some variation, and I may have answered my own question with the established pattern noted above, but I just wanted to be sure with Phnom Penh.

- Most embassies seem to be becoming stricter over time, so suggest moving forward quickly. Cambodia is moving towards e-visa in October, so that will impact ability to apply together, if at all possible,
