What documents do I need to prove my current location when applying for a DTV visa in Thailand, and how much money is required for a joint application with my husband?

Hey everyone!

I want to apply to the DTV, and the documents list mention a document indicating current location (driving license, bank statement, or proof of stay) - Is it for the country I am currently staying in (as a tourist, digital nomad), or the country I am the residence of?

Also, if me and my husband apply together, do we need to show a checking/savings account with 500K baht each? or 500K total?

Thank you so much! 🙏

TLDR : Answer Summary
When applying for the DTV visa, the document indicating your current location should reflect the country where you are currently staying, whether as a tourist or digital nomad. As for the financial requirement, if applying as a couple, each person must show a checking or savings account with 500K baht.

The address in the country where you are submitting the application in case of doing an evisa.

It is for the country you are staying in as a tourist/worker or as a resident, 500k each as a couple must be shown.

Thank you for your reply 🙂

If I'm staying as a tourist - what can be submitted as a proof of stay?

And if we both qualify to the vise, can we each apply separately and submit same accounts (shared accounts)?

Thanks again!

Anonymous participant hotel booking, passport visa entry stamp. You would need to confirm with the embassy if a joint account is ok, some embassies are ok, some are not.
