I am interested to find out whether it's enough to have 500k in a bank account or if it has to be 500k per person.
If it has to be 500k per person, is it possible to use agents to circumvent this requirement? I am not keen on liquidating investments just for a visa application.

When submitting my wife's DTV, I submitted a time deposit certificate in her personal name. If your child applies, just submit your or your wife’s savings. Proof of parentage between the child and you must be provided. We have obtained the visa.

You print account statements for each adult but of course you can just as well transfer these $$$ from Account A to B to C and generate individual statements from your accounts.

Do you need 500k for kids too? Or only for yourself and your partner? And can your business be a sponsor? We have that money on a business savings account, but I can not/don’t want to show it 4x on my private checking account for at least 1-3 months.

it is 500K per person. You can use a sponsor if you do not have the funds to hand. There are posts of families getting the DTV.

Anonymous participant Sponsor as in someone else providing the 500K requirement for yourself and family. It is written in the DTV application a sponsor can be used for the 500kTHB.

You mean agents depositing the money as they do for retirement visa for a fee? The problem doing this with DTV is location. When they do it in Thailand for Retirement it is deposited, the bank issues a letter and it is withdrawn. The person is there at the bank with the agent. Without going into more details there is also a 3rd party involved. For the DTV it would be much more complex and would need involvement in location DTV is being granted.!!!!

Wow - I got an offer from an agent at 65K but they did not provide the money. I would assume the agents open bank account in the applicants name in Thailand - the applicant gets no access to the money!Reply to
