Question that I'm unclear about for the DTV.

If I'm applying for it under my online business, and want to bring my family with me, (husband and two kids) do we have to pay the application fee 4 times or is it all under 1 application? Alternatively, do we all need to have our own 500k baht, or can it be the same bank account for everyone? Thanks in advance!

TLDR : Answer Summary
When applying for a DTV visa in Thailand, you must submit a separate application for each family member, meaning you will need to pay the application fee for each individual (including yourself, husband, and two children). While each applicant may be required to have their own financial proof of 500,000 baht, there have been instances where embassies accepted the primary applicant's financial proof or a sponsorship letter as evidence for dependents. It is crucial to check specific requirements with the Thai Embassy or Consulate where you will submit your application.

The requirements does say the the dependents also need financial evidence, but maybe a sponsorship letter from the main applicant can be accepted.

You pay a separate fee for each applicant.

Financial proof may or may not work differently, that depends on how the embassy interprets this requirement. Officially it is required for each applicant as well, but there are reports of embassies accepting the DTV of the main DTV holder not only as proof of travel purpose but also as financial proof for dependent's DTV.

Firstly, you need your own DTV. Only after it has been issued to you, your spouse and your children can apply on their own

DTV Spouse and Children requirements. It means that you, the main caretaker, firstly needs to apply for your own DTV visa, based on reasons "workcation" or "soft power", before your spouse and your children can apply for their own and individual spousal DTV

Hi Elise, I have the same questions too and have asked the Thai Embassy here in Mexico but they notify me that they are updating their website for it and will let me know. So I am waiting with bated breath!

Some ppl mentioned that it may be just that 1 account with 500k for all?

At least one application for each of you (or passport number). Requirements vary by embassy, you need to check with the one you are applying for your visa for detail.

ASK and or look at your Thai Embassy or Consulate website for the specific requirements for the DTV visa.

it's all too new to know the details of the DTV and how it's being addressed by the varied Thai Embassy or Consulate.
