I need clarification in relation to the DTV.

The website suggests that you need to show that you have 500,000 Baht in an account. But many others say that you need to show that the 500,000 Baht has been in an account for 6 months.

Does anyone know which is correct?

Thank you all in advance

TLDR : Answer Summary
The requirements for showing funds for the DTV (Digital Nomad Visa) in Thailand can vary significantly based on the embassy you are applying to. Generally, applicants are required to demonstrate that they have 500,000 Baht in their bank account. However, there is ambiguity regarding whether this amount must be held for a specific duration, with some sources suggesting that the funds need to be in the account for 6 months. Experiences shared by users indicate that some embassies only check the current balance without imposing a time constraint, while others have more stringent requirements. It is advised to refer to the specific embassy's guidelines for accurate information.

I got mine in London, all they wanted to see was the figure. Nothing about how long it was in there for

I applied online to the London embassy, they didn't accept my long term savings account statement. I got a friend to transfer me the money into my current account the same day and they accepted that statement. I then sent the money back to my friend. It was in a UK bank account, not Thai. Thanks

For my case, Hanoi. My appointment was 23 September.

Deposited 500K into Krungthai bank 2 days before appointment.

Print out the same day as I literally just deposited it. But I got the bank certificate notarized.

(Each month never have 500K in the bank as everything is in my investments wallet)

I submitted along with 6 months Revolut - not notarized.

They staff asked me to open the bank app and show her 500K is still in the bank as the day of the appointment.

No problem, already got my visa since 26

I can’t speak for other embassies

Depends on the embassy your applying to....

You won't get clarification here. The only ones who can clarify is the embassy that you'll be applying through. Each embassy sets their own requirements. Some just want to see a bank statement with the money, some want it for 3 months, some want it for 6 months. Go to the website of the embassy you want to apply at and look it up.

@Shuvam ******
it seems agents can only help with doing all the paperwork, then you need to leave the country, and go and apply yourself at a Thai consulate or embassy in a neighbouring country??

You maybe better suited to the DTV page here on FB.
