What are the savings requirements for a D-TV visa for a family in Thailand?
If inapply for a dtv for myself as well as my wife and 2 children is the savings requirement still 500,000 baht or do we need to show 2,000,000 baht total?
Answer summary
When applying for a DTV visa for yourself and your family, the common understanding is that the savings requirement is 500,000 baht per applicant. Therefore, for a family of four, you could be expected to demonstrate a total of 2,000,000 baht. However, it is advisable to verify these requirements with the specific Thai embassy, as they may have their own regulations.

My reading of the DTV 500.000 baht is close to the 450.000 baht to support a Thai wife in the kingdom. I understand you and your family are not Thai so health insurance for your family is required. The cost of this health insurance is totally up to you. Healthcare for my Thai family is very low. I’m 30 years Australian Army living in lsan Thailand.

Most reports have indicated that you'll need to show 500,000 per applicant. You will need to check with the Thai embassy that you will be applying through as they each set their own requirements.
