Visited the immigration office at Blue Tree, Phuket today to get the Certificate of Residence for myself and my wife.
We submitted our TM30 and passport with entry stamp — they didn’t ask for our DTV printout.
We were charged 1,000 baht each and told to collect the certificate the next day. It’s all done quickly and smoothly.
We needed the document for vehicle purchase and Thai driving license.
However, I’ve seen posts here mentioning 300–500 baht fees and a one-week wait.
Just wondering — did we overpay, or is this the new standard now?

TLDR : Answer Summary
A post from an expat in Phuket details their experience obtaining a Certificate of Residence for themselves and their spouse. They reported paying 1,000 baht each for expedited service and receiving the certificates the next day. However, other commenters noted lower fees (300-500 baht) and longer wait times (up to a week) at different locations. It appears the standard fees and wait times for these certificates can vary greatly depending on the office and location in Thailand.
The only official in Phuket that can sign the residence certificates is at Phuket Town. That's why the price there is 500 baht and you can get it back same day. For Blue Tree, you're paying an extra 500 baht because they have to drive the paperwork to Phuket Town, and that's also why you have to wait to get it the next day.
How does it work when you are cycling through Thaialnd and do not have a fixed address? So, basically you move every other day to another new spot in Thailand?
crazy how expensive they got within just a couple of years… 500 baht in krabi this year for a certificate… or free the next day… 2 years ago i got it for free. last year 100-200 baht per certificate
