I went to get a Resideency Cert at Immigration in Chiang Mai last Monday. Paid 50 Baht and was told it would be posted to my address. It's a week now and it hasnt arrived so far.
Is it usual to wait this long or do I need to pay another visit to sort it out? TIA

TLDR : Answer Summary
A user inquired about the expected delivery time for a Residency Certificate applied for in Chiang Mai, expressing concern after not receiving it a week later. Various commenters shared their experiences, indicating that it can typically take 2-3 weeks if the basic fee of 50 Baht was paid, while paying a higher fee (500 Baht) may expedite the process significantly. Some suggested that it might be beneficial to visit the immigration office again to inquire about the status, emphasizing that each immigration office may have different procedures and timelines.
Hi Barbara, all sorted. I paid the 500 baht as I've got to go to the bank on Thursday
to sort out an account. If they posted it I wouldn't get it till the 27th!
Cheers

Well when i went to CM immigration for same document.. they charged me 500 baht and told me I'd get it in the post 3-weeks later.. said it could not be expedited.. there was no such service she said.. and they even told me the exact date I'd get it.. and it arrived on the date stated by courier!
It was 50 baht last Monday. I may have paid 500 before but dont have a clear recollection as I was processing other documents also. Maybe depends on what you require it for
I think you'll get a different response depending on the day of the week.. the officer you speak to.. and whether or not they got out of their bed on the right side.. lol ๐

Every immigration office is different, in Phetchaburi we get it the same day. It should not take a week.

Out of curiosity what documents did you take? I'm going there tomorrow.
pages from passport with relevant visa and entry stamps stamps and photo page. 1 photograph for Id.. Maybe a form which is available there. If you are not sure ask a volunteer when you arrive. You can photocopy there.
Me too, got mine (free) in Sa Kaeo province in about 25 minutes. It would have been quicker if the Officer dealing with me had seen an online TM30 PDF before, kept telling me to get my father-in-law to come (householder, required to do TM30 555).

It can take 2-3 weeks if you don't pay for the expedited service
