Hi- I'm a US citizen living in Bangkok. I saw from a recent thread that if I'm on a 30-day visa exempt stamp with enough time left (15 days or more) I can apply for a 90-day Non-O Visa based on marriage in-country at CW given the updated list of required documents (including proof of funds, etc).
My questions are: If I need to leave Thailand during my initial 90-days on this "no entry" Non-O visa can I leave and re-enter on a re-entry permit or will that invalidate my visa?
And, if I also need to travel outside the country during the 30 day consideration period for the 1-year extension?
TLDR : Answer Summary
A US citizen in Bangkok can leave Thailand on a 90-day Non-O visa using a re-entry permit without invalidating the visa. However, during the consideration period for a 1-year extension, traveling is possible with a re-entry permit, but it's advisable to consult the local immigration office beforehand to avoid potential issues.
