Just a quick question- my child is on non-ed visa for secondary school, I’m on a non-o guardian visa, spouse is on a non-o retirement visa obtained in Thailand (not an o-a or o-x); how long can I be outside of Thailand without putting my visa (non-o guardian) at risk?

TLDR : Answer Summary
You can leave Thailand as long as you have a re-entry permit and return in time to apply for your yearly extension, as there are no specific required days you must stay in Thailand.

as long as you re-enter in time to apply for a new yearly extension AND as long as you have a re-entry permit you're fine to leave all you want. There is no 'must stay in thailand xx days'

thank you for the quick response! Another question - isn’t there a requirement to report in every 90 days?

@Luna *******
the 90 day reporting is only IF you're IN thailand for 90 days, when you leave it stops, and when you come back it starts back up

starting from one again not from where you were when you left. Just a clarification.

@Luna *******
the 90 day reporting works like this

IF you're in the country for 90 days you file a 90 day report

IF you leave the country during the 90 days, the 90 day count down clock stops and when you return to thailand your NEXT 90 day report is due 89 days from the date you stamped in to the country

and you can ignore any automatic emails telling you to report until you've been back in Thailand about 75 days. They don't account for you being out of country.

@Tony *******
you won't get any more automatic emails if you ignore one OR you apply in person because then the system doesn't email you of a 90 day report date

AND

The new rule is you have to report in person the first time after you come back from outside the country
