Just recently extended my visa until May next year (multiple reentry included) and will have my 90-day reporting 19th July this year. I’ve been in and out of Thailand 3x in the past month, and now again on travel and will come back mid-May. Do I need to file TM30 when arrive Thailand within 24 hours? Do I need this for my 90-day reporting?

Another complication is that I got my work permit in March, my address was still in Ratchada. When I applied for 1-year extension of my visa in April, the address I placed was Rangsit as I just moved out from my old address. Then I travelled abroad 2x. Will it matter if I have not filed for any TM30s? Thanks!

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is seeking clarification on the requirements for TM30 reporting in relation to their 90-day reporting after moving to a new address in Thailand and traveling frequently. Comments indicate that TM30 reporting is necessary, especially if the user has moved, as it is typically the landlord's responsibility. Additionally, the 90-day reporting rules let users reset their count based on their last entry date, reducing the frequency of reporting if they leave the country before the due date.

Now as far as a TM.30, I leave that up to you.

okay you've got a couple things mixed up

The way 90 day reporting works is:

IF you haven't left the country and are in country when your 90 day report comes due you file one

IF you have left the country before the 90 day due date your NEXT 90 day report date is 89 days from the date you stamp back into the country (they count the day you enter as day 1).

And no TM30 reporting at all? Sorry that I’m not very familiar with this 90-day reporting rule as I just got my first visa extension.

if you in and out - why you want report ? you 90 report is after last arrival to Thailand. if you leave - you start with 1 on arrival day.

depends the officer - might be - might be not - usually your landlord has to do it - not you - could be 800thb

when I get back, I will report. But will I get penalized for not having done it previously?

i understand now that my 90-day reporting will reset once I go out of Thailand. Now, follow up question then: if I just travel outside of Thailand within 3 months (which I most certainly do), I do not need to do the 90-day reporting?
