What should I know about TM30 reporting and 90-day reporting for my retirement OA-Visa in Thailand?

90 day reporting question;

I started my stay here in Chiang Mai on December 21st

Retirement OA-Visa

I will be leaving on the 1st of March for Koh Samui to get a break from the smoke

I contacted my Airbnb host for my two months day and ask him about the TM 30

He did not know about this?

Said he would get his wife to look into it?

I have always had the host for my airbnbs take care of the tm30

I'm trying to avoid immigration drama

I understand it needs to be filled out and documented within 24 hours of my arrival on Koh Samui

I also understand I can report my 90-day stay two weeks prior to it expiring

As I do the calculations if I did it tomorrow it would be Day 70

Should I bother even going to immigration here in Chiang Mai?

How would you suggest I help my Airbnb host to correctly filing for the TM 30?

Thank you

Most Airbnb hosts will not do a TM30 because they are renting out their property illegally. If they do a TM30 they may get on the government's radar for either illegal short term rentals, tax evasion, or both.

You can file TM30 yourself online. And also do 90 day report online too

yes but you need a bunch of information from the AirBnB host, which they may or may not provide for you.

you might be better off staying at a licensed hotel so you can make sure they do the TM30 reporting for you, rather than an illegal AirBnB

Thank you Lisa and Craig I'm just a bit perplexed on what to do, I leave Tuesday morning March 1st so I still have tomorrow here in Chiang Mai, but I do not think the immigration office will allow me to file my 90-day reporting at Day 70

And once I arrive in Koh Samui Island

I understand the tm30 must be filed in the first 24 hours

But I have never done this process and sounds like I need the assistance of the Airbnb host?
