Can I obtain a proof of residency from Immigration in Thailand without a 90-day report on a NON-O visa?

Is there any way to get a „proof of residency“ from Immigration without staying at least 75 days and do a 90 day report? I‘m on a NON-O thai wife extension but never had to do a 90 day because I travel frequently. I‘m aware I can get one from embassy but I was told I need both for the yellow book.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is seeking advice on obtaining a proof of residency from Immigration in Thailand without fulfilling the 90-day report requirement, as they hold a NON-O Thai wife extension. The discussion reveals that while some suggest that a proof of residency is not necessary for obtaining the yellow house book, others advise checking local Amphur requirements or addressing the 24-hour reporting rule for private addresses.

He don't need a useless yellow book full stop.

you don't need a residence certificate from the immigration office and from your consulate to get a yellow house book.

GO to your local Amphur and get the hand out that lists the requirements for getting a yellow house book

You report your private address within 24 hours after arriving. The minute after this report is made you can ask for the Certificate or Residence. But only Bangkok Immigration wants you to make first a 90 day report, they do not care the address report within 24 hours.

Bangkok immigration have a lead time to allow for delivery of the certificate. I've no idea how they date them.

So ones I get that I gotta get the one from the embassy as they both can‘t be older than 30 days if not mistaken?

Interesting you need both. I got my yellow book quite a while ago with neither. Only needed wife to sign.

Even with 90 day reporting, Bangkok don't issue them immediately. They post them out and i believe you need to allow 4 weeks.

Right, I was at Chaeng Wattana. So the only way to obtain that confirmation is to stay at least 75 days in Thailand?
