1.Does anyone know how to get a residence certificate to extend non O spouse visa ( used my husband’s work permit to apply it) from single entry to one year?

The immigration office I went is In pathumthani but they told me since we live in victory monument area that I will need to go to Cheangwattana to get the residence certificate to prove my current address, then I can apply the extension.

What type of documents should I bring in to Cheangwattana to apply the address certificate? Some people said using the water/electricity bills, some said that I will need to use my rental contract and my landlord ID to apply for it.

How many days will it take and what is the working hour there?

2. I went to pathumthani in early December 2017 but they said it was too early to apply, told me to wait until mid-January.

How many days before my single entry visa expires that I can hand the extension application?

Thanks in advance.

I think you are right about it! She pointed a little blue paper stapled on my husband’s passport, and told me I need to get something like that but the color could be white or others. Thank you so much for clear this up! 🙂

The reason I believe that's what they want is from the Phuket immigration people calling the TM.30 a "certificate of residence" :/

, I think what they are wanting has been lost in translation and you really need to file a TM.30 form. It has the oh-so long name of "Notification From For House-Master, Owner Or The Possessor Of The Residence Where Alien Has Stayed".

The reason I say that is someone from Phuket recently posted a requirement note about a "certificate of residence" and it was about the TM.30 form.

You can apply for an extension of stay when you have 45 days or less left on your current stamp. It sounds like you're applying for an extension of stay based on the fact you're married to a foreigner that legally works here.

Piggybacking on his extension means you get yours at the office where he got his extension. You'll need documentation from the company stating it's okay that you can piggy back on your husbands visa extension, marriage certificates, employment contract, and a bunch more.

I'd say go to the immigration office where your husband gets his extension and get the hand out that lists your requirements.

I don't know why you're needing a residence certificate because that is not a requirement for ANY extension.

Thanks for your reply, Tod. The pathumthani immigration office is where my husband got his visa extension, I applied the extensions the past 2 years there and they never asked a residence certificate from me. So it was odd for me to hear this new requirement, I asked the officer why is it different this year, it never happened before. And she told me : “you live today, not the past 2 year”. Seems like they have the new requirement on extension this year for people who don’t live in pathumthani area. So I was very confused about it. So If I really need to go to cheangwattana for the residence certificate, I want to know what documents I need to apply for this at least, can’t risk making a journey there and wasting my day at the office with a newborn.
