I am on a one year non O marriage visa. Entered on 16 March. I posted a question here about 90 day reporting and note that I am not required to do this. However I forgot to mention my last visit to Pathumthani Immigration about 2 weeks ago. I needed a Certificate of Residence to renew my driver's license. They would not issue it as my 90 day stay had expired . But they did offer me the option to apply for a 60 day extension. But before I could do this I first needed to do a 90 day report. I gave up and went home. Question is are people on Amnesty on Non O visas being asked to do a 90 day report before they can apply for the 60 day extension? Or is this just Pathumthani ?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is on a one-year Non O marriage visa and inquired about the requirement for a 90-day reporting before applying for a 60-day extension, specifically in Pathumthani. Comments suggest that it may depend on the type of visa and the protocol followed at local immigration offices, particularly during the COVID-19 amnesty period.

I'm closing down this post. Nobody knows how this new amnesty works. According to the flyers posted on the immigration's website, you need that COVID-19 letter from your embassy IF you want to stay longer then September 26. We'll post more information about this amnesty as we find more information about it.

To make your own post is the same amount of effort than hijacking others,

I understand the need of an answer but please understand that different questions all in th same topic makes that nobody understand what the question was for that answer,

If you are on a multiple entry non-o visa based on marriage to a Thai national where you have to bounce out every 90 days, you will not do a 90 day report.

My advice is to go on *MONDAY, AUGUST 3* and apply for a 60 day extension of stay based on visiting Thai family. I understand that would be added on to the existing amnesty, and you can stay until late November.

So do we need to the letter from embassy as well to get the 60 day family visa extension? I'm on non o 12 months multiple entry

@Christian ******
No, according to the flyer, you do NOT need a letter from your country's consulate to get the extension of stay based on visiting family.

@Benjamin *****
OK I have one but thanks, my understanding is the extension will start from 27th September no matter what day you get the extension

@Benjamin *****
so if you get a 60 day extension DURING amnesty, the 60 days will be added after the amnesty ends?

I got my 60 day extension a few days before the amnesty started, so its pretty much rendered useless and I’ve missed an opportunity for an extra 60 days?
Benjamin ******
@Tom *****
IF you got a 60 day extension during the LAST amnesty (the one that expires in July), then you can stay until the expiration date of your extension that's stamped in your passport.

@Benjamin *****
I got the 60 days on March 20th. Expired on 24th May. Amnesty started end of March, so my 60 days was wasted. I should have waited until now but I didn’t know there was going to be an amnesty at the time! Doh!

@Tom *****
What you can try doing on August 3rd is to ask for another 60 day extension of stay based on visiting Thai family. The worse they will do is say "no".

@Benjamin *****
I will try - fingers crossed they’re lenient! Thanks for your help Benjamin!

umm wednesday is still July. Don't you think they should wait until the new amnesty and rules actually start (after Aug 1st)?

@Tod ********
That's a good point!

When did this new amnesty go into effect? I thought it goes into effect immediately.
Benjamin ******
How about defining what a one year marriage visa is, exactly. Can you take a picture of your visa sticker and extension of stay (if you have it) with any confidential information blacked out?
Robert *******
He has the visa from Savannakhet
Benjamin ******
@Robert ******
so a multiple entry non-o visa based on marriage that allows a 90 day entry?
