probably just the way it panned out. Especially if he doesn’t travel much out of the country and didn’t know about the 6 months. I only found that out as it happened to me but that was 20+ years ago

I meant whichever department in Kathmandu he is referring to where his pp was issued. I have had to do a couple of times, been living in Thailand since ‘92 so all kinds of fun and games on the visa and passport front

@Gr**
thanks for that, I thought he would be entitled to visa on arrival-
@Bis****
- take note - not sure how long you are planning on staying here

not sure if Nepali Citizens get visa on arrival or not? You would need to check

And definitely bring both passports, “normally” if you don’t have a valid visa you won’t be allowed on the flight from Kathmandu. But it appears only your passport has been “cancelled” not your visa

I just got back from Kathmandu 🙏🏻 this has happened to me before. What the Consulate should be able to do is transfer the visa to your new passport. This would be the Nepalese Consulate in Kathmandu I would think? You should go and check with them, and then the Thai consulate who may or may not be of much help. It very much varies from Consulate to Consulate around the world. I hope this helps 🙏🏻

I am sorting mine at the moment, UK citizen, and they wanted the original birth certificate which I said wasn’t going to happen but a have a colour copy of the original. Needs to be translated by a notary then we are good I think. On Phuket which is usually more difficult than elsewhere
