I saw an interesting comment earlier. They said if you offer a temporary ticket, it will be noted in the system. If you do not use it then that could raise a red flag. Immigration will clearly know about this and have your immigration record.

I arrived with a return date ticket well over the 60 + 30 days. Used the Thai wife card and infomed the IO that she was arranging tickets. He was happy but I have a squeaky cleam record over 30 odd years.

it seems getting there are three possibilities after the initial visa exemption and possible extension.

1. Border bounce where you leave and enter same day.

2. Leave and return a few days later

3. Obtain a visa.

1 and 2 soley down to the IO and your previous history.

both enter illegally without a visa. They lie to remain in the UK. Our kindness suits their to get into the UK illegally. 99% are not fleeing oppresion but seeking economic gain from the UK tax payer.

just them told I was married to a Thai and my wife was making arrangements. Guess they know how that works.

Remember it is the airline that is fined if you arrive with an incorrect visa and denied entry.

sorry if I upset you but to be honest what is the point of trying to be helpful if someone constantly belittles you and give the incorrect info. The site is a great helpful. Anyway solved the issue.

I did. But the page came back incorrect. Missed it. This year visa exempt, easier.

Make sure the details are correct. They add an extra digit to my passport number and I missed it.
