Thank you for the prompt response. I understand what I have here is a visa waiver and therefore I will need to apply for a Covid extension.
This sprung several questions as originally I planned for an ED visa application in country. What would be the best way to approach this time-wise? Should I leave Thailand and apply for an ED visa from outside of Thailand? Or should I stay on a (possible) covid extension and apply for one?
If I should add this new info to the post please also advise, thank you.
thanks for the reply. I’m a vietnamese national so visa exemption is possible for me. I’m only wondering because I’ve heard people saying to ensure your chance of being granted entry you’d need cash, onward flight ticket and sometimes proof of lodging. This is all anecdotal though, that’s why I’m asking the admin for a more credible source
I don’t think so; I’ve been to Chaengwattana several times this year (last was April) and even though there were signs and even a booth for ATK testing I was not required to do a test. The only mandatory thing is a health declaration which you will fill in before entering at Gate 2 Building B. If you want to be absolutely certain then do an ATK test before going, but a note from a doc or pharmacist is not necessary.
