Contact your local Immigration Office as some will be considering this as a 'change' of reason of extension and will require the funds to be in your account for 3 (three) months.

In any case, I'd say better safe than sorry.

Good luck.

, thanks, I've sent an email to the Canadian Embassy in Bangkok and the Thai Embassy in Vancouver, as their websites are not clear regarding my 2 specific questions. Still waiting to get their answers.

Was wondering on getting a non-O in Canada as cheaper than converting an Exemption into a Retirement extension (Samui Immigration Office)

And I'm aware that some Embassies do NOT provide affidavit, hence my question specifically for Canadians.

The ask:thailand community, consisting of multiple Q/A groups with over 100,000 members, powers this platform. It is not an official government resource. Our members actively contribute to this resource, and while we strive for accuracy, we cannot guarantee its complete reliability. Assistance to travelers is provided as a community service.
