As everyone says, go with the flow. Yes, it is troublesome and irritating but we are guests here and it is part of their jobs. Consider that as well as, even if you are in the right, we live in a time and place where they can find lots of reasons, real, valid or not, to deport you and your family. Keep your focus on the reason why you are here, keep reminding yourself why you want to stay here, keep cool...(been here 30 years and have seen quite many foreigners being deported fir nothing less than losing their temper with them immigration...) Good luck to you and your family...
Not that I saw but they are as I said quite blunt...Not sure whether it is because they wanna show authority or something else. But they were always friendly to me...play the village idiot if anything and let them call to you...They once even asked me to help them out with another foreigner... (Take your misses with you, it makes things a little easier at times, especially if you do not speak Thai!) Good luck
I'd like to be on the immigration officers' side this time. I have been here (In Saraburi) for 5 years. I have met with them many times and they were quite friendly and rather helpful after the first encounter. I have to admit that their manners are sometimes a bit blunt but that is how they are I think. (I speak Thai fluently so maybe that is another factor that has helped me.) I would like to point out to
that speaking for everybody else without proof is not to be advised as I am a foreigner who has been here for 25 years and I have met some much nastier immigration officers than the ones at the Saraburi office...Be safe everybody
