Hi,

Anyone here familiar with Saraburi immigration office and processes? I'm soon moving to the Pakchong area, from Bangkok, but just inside the Saraburi border. I see that there's Saraburi immigration office at: 126/3 หมู่9 Nong Yao, Mueang Saraburi District, Saraburi 18000

I've asked these questions of the local Pak Chong FB group, but so far no luck and i can't find a Saraburi FB group.

Is this the office to use to register my change of address and renewal of yearly exemption?

Do I need to change address through a TM28 or TM30 or both?

From Lotus's, Pak Chong, approximately how long, by car, does it take to get to the Saraburi immigration office?

Any advice on good and bad days of the week to go to immigration?

Is it usually busy or how would you describe it?

I'm not expecting exact answers more trying to explain my situation and looking for any helpful feedback, to-date in Thailand all my immigration experience is at very busy Bangkok immigration offices

Thanks in advance.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is seeking advice on the Saraburi immigration office as they prepare to move to the Pakchong area. They want to know if this office is responsible for registering their change of address and renewing their yearly exemption, and whether they need to take care of this via forms TM28 or TM30. Additionally, they seek information about the distance from Pakchong to the immigration office, the usual traffic conditions, and tips on the best days to visit, as they have only dealt with busy immigration offices in Bangkok. Responses indicate that visiting the office for clarification is advisable, with suggestions to avoid busy days like Mondays and Fridays and mention that the circumstances in Saraburi are generally more manageable.

and I think
@John ****
has enough information to either decide to make a field trip to the office and scope it out on their own OR not.

Thanx one and all (y) we are done. ..

I'd like to be on the immigration officers' side this time. I have been here (In Saraburi) for 5 years. I have met with them many times and they were quite friendly and rather helpful after the first encounter. I have to admit that their manners are sometimes a bit blunt but that is how they are I think. (I speak Thai fluently so maybe that is another factor that has helped me.) I would like to point out to

that speaking for everybody else without proof is not to be advised as I am a foreigner who has been here for 25 years and I have met some much nastier immigration officers than the ones at the Saraburi office...Be safe everybody

I cannot confirm their postal address as I do not know it but here is the link to their physical address, I hope it is helpful enough..

thank you.

In Bangkok, 90 day reporting can be done in person, by mail or internet, I assume in person is available but are either of the other 2 option available.

Also for 90 day and yearly exemption renewal the is an online appointment booking system usually available, again are either of these services offered?

Thanks for any information you can share

>but are either of the other 2 option available

In theory, the online system should be used throughout Thailand.

>Also for 90 day and yearly exemption renewal the is an online appointment booking system usually available, again are either of these services offered?

I'm willing to bet you dollars to durians the answer is a no. There's only a couple of immigration offices that have appointment systems, and those are the ones with a lot of foreigners. Off the top of my head, it's only Bangkok (when it's working), Pattaya, and Phuket.

you're most likely correct, I'll check the current conversation rate for dollars and durian before taking the bet though

Not that I saw but they are as I said quite blunt...Not sure whether it is because they wanna show authority or something else. But they were always friendly to me...play the village idiot if anything and let them call to you...They once even asked me to help them out with another foreigner... (Take your misses with you, it makes things a little easier at times, especially if you do not speak Thai!) Good luck

Do they do anything "strange" at that immigration office, or that goes against our general advice?

I think you're gonna hafta go and ask at the office yourself. There can't be that many foreigners up there so it's gonna be nothing like bangkok. Same advice for all the offices avoid monday and friday.

I see a trip there in your near future after you move to get the answers you want.

But goodluck to you!

And FYI, none of us foreigners had ever done business with them successfully. Not even an address registration, 90 days reporting, much more visa for work! None!
Mae *************
The most unhelpful immigration office! They won't talk to foreigners for whatever business you have or help you need. They would simply drive you away and tell you to bring a Thai national they can talk to when you come back.😏

@Mae ************
Just to make sure, you used Saraburi immigration office?

@Benjamin *****
our school is located in Saraburi. We tried many times with them. No luck.
