Yes, I put down a deposit of approximately $300 and will pay the remaining balance once I arrive at the hotel. I chose The Salil Hotel because it is a modest price, has good reviews, is close to the BTS station, and has a good cancellation/refund policy.
because it's recommended by the Thai Embassy. It's a bit more expensive than other insurance policies I've seen ($400 for 90 days), but I was willing to pay a little extra if I know that it will be accepted.
I haven’t applied for my COE or visa yet, but I have already booked my flight, ASQ, and bought insurance. I did a lot of research and I’m pretty sure you need to have these 3 documents to start either process. Just make sure you know the refund/cancellation policy of your airline/ASQ before booking.
Wylie Pfaff What about the requirements to fly into DOH? Does that matter and is it something I should look into? Do they require something different to fly into their country than Thailand? Do they have transit policies?
