According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, it's maximum 90 in 180. Although the law stipulating this was rescinded some years ago, many IOs still use this as a guideline for "further investigation". By all accounts they've got tougher since covid.

Before covid I lived for eight years on OA visa - never once went to an immigration office. What for? 😆

Yep. Stacks of both. All good. Can't see value in paying for basic stuff, but each to their own

I agree. Lived here for years, never used an agent. It's each to their own however, some people can't cope with simple tasks, it's the world we live in

OA is great if you're a regular visitor (say every 18-24 months) to your home country. Never have to transfer money to Thailand, never have to do 90 day reports or TM30s, never have to visit an immigration office. Fantastic visa

I don't know. I'm just talking about the rules in general. Bangkok and Phuket are ok, maybe Jomtien does it differently - that's always been a whacky immigration office, same as Samui, but the main ones stick by the rules. And I'm talking about now, not when Big Joke starts up. I'd love to see him go through the agents like a dose of salts. Love to see everyone dashing to put money in their bank accounts before immigration come knock knock knockin on heaven's door! 😂
