What is the best time to arrive at the Vientiane consulate for a short wait when applying for a visa?

I’ll add confirmation to this. If you want to make the last flight back on visa pickup day, you need to be done within the first 30 minutes. So make sure you are very early the day before, dropping off. Avoid Monday’s but I’d say mine up by 630 or even am. Endure the short wait that morning. It’s worthwhile.

thanks. Yeah so the idea of it being extendable 3x after the first 90 days, effectively, is gone. Is that for all ED visas? Or just the Thai language ones?

I always thought it was a 90 days visa you could extend to get 12 months in total per visa, then you could get another one the following year, up to 4 years of the ED visa. Is this no longer possible? When did it change?
