First, you need to understand that East and West are the exact opposite cultures and way of life. The West focuses on money and enjoyment and has the brain to develop in those areas. While dharma (righeousness) and moksa (awakening) are non-existent. All the focus and intelligence goes into making your material life and relationships work. In Thailand, it's all the other way round. The focus is on wisdom, ethical conduct and discipline for the sake of peace. Peace or nirvana is achieved by realizing that the world is temporary, miserable, and non-self, which means material beings have nothing to do with the material identity, personalities, relationships, as they are constantly changing. Nirvana comes from permanent non-identification with this world. It's all about avoiding this world and going into some kind of spiritual limbo as the end goal. It's perfect to create a peaceful society at heart, but the avoidance tendency makes people have undeveloped ability to build a successful material life.

Their religion tells them to avoid reassessment and problems. That alone is the biggest shortcoming of Thai people that afflicts all aspects of their life. If you can find a way around it, you are going to be pretty happy. If not, you will become a notorious, miserable critic.

Fly to Turkey, throw away your passports and cross into EU territory along with other illegal groups of immigrants, and your entire stay will be funded by one of the EU governments of the country you intend to go.

Yeah, after too many bad experiences you gotta draw the line and stop their BS. As part of their obligations, are they going to support you equally? It's a rhetorical question. They won't even understand your problem and just charge you according to one of their untrained technician will say...

I would even encourage to take care of the small stuff yourself. They might hire their professional team and charge you way more than you doing it yourself. In my last condo rental in Bangkok there were two 1 - 2 cm dents in the wall and they charged me 2 x 2000 Baht for it. Additionally, one of the door handles came off (the tiny screws broke through the wood), and they charged me 2000 Baht for putting it back on (likely they just glued the screws, this happened a few days before moving out). At least, I got my deposit back...

Rule number 1: "If they have made up their mind, don't try to convince them otherwise, you can't reason with them." Either pay what they ask for, or do it yourself.

Avoid Krungsri at all cost. No matter which branch you go in Thailand, they treat you the worst. Their app is regularly not functioning properly. I can't even use them for connecting to my googlepay...

It's empty...if you take better class it's filled with Muslims going down south

If you know how to get around in Bangkok, take the train from Bang Sue Train Station. Go by 3rd class train and carriage mostly empty. Just 87 Baht for less than 4 hours.

Come on a tourist visa...pray to find a girl you can cocreate with...assist that girl in her business and marry her...and be happy ever after. Advice: avoid bar girls. Be a regular guy and attract a regular woman
