What steps can expats take to protect themselves when opening a business in Thailand with their Thai spouse's name?

I lost 2.5m thb within a year and came up with too many business ideas which not even make any sense but still want to keep quiet and stay in peace so keep inputting, so I would suggest the tax and regulation might be a bit hassle but do as a company is the safer option. Even me now, bigger assets go to the company, and fancy things go to Thai 😄
