you were flying to ID from BKK, this guys asking about flying to Thailand I have never experienced any of these problems the only people that will experience this problem with immigration are the people who abuse the visa extempt and have more than a few stamps a year,

Last year I was pulled to the side and questioned on why I was entering so much with a single entry visa exempt stamps, (was on a one way flight) and stayed for a total of 8 weeks no problem

I have a friend who has overstayed every year for the last 4 years fly’s on a one way ticket and never been questioned by airline or immigration

a lot of this advice your getting is crap I have flown on one way tickets multiple times and never had any issues
